Layens Hive with 20 Wired Frames - INSULATED

Price: $500.00

The 20 frame insulated hive (walls and bottom 9 R-value) comes with 20 wired frames and a follower board included. Hive is painted white with exterior paint. No alternate colors are offered. Hive stands and wax foundation are ordered separately. Please use the special instructions box below if you only want 2" starter strips verses full sheets of foundation.

Installed Lid Insulation

Price: $25.00

Ventilated lids come standard with the 20 frame hive. They can be upgraded to insulated lids (R-14) upon request.

Custom Hive Designs

Hives come standard painted with white exterior paint. No alternate colors are offered. If you want to have us add a splash of color we have 8 design options for the front only that you can pick from. You can also choose "Special Order" where our in-house art designer will contact you and discuss your custom request and price. If you select "Special Order" from the dropdown please include in the Special Instructions box below the method and time of day you prefer to be contacted. Remember that hive stands can be ordered separately and come in a standard green.

Layens Swarm Box with 6 Wired Frames

Price: $150.00

Our swarm boxes are unique in that they are built out of 5/8" plywood making them idea if you want to overwinter a nuc. The nuc is painted white with exterior paint. No alternate colors are offered. The nuc also comes with a follower board so you can keep a swarm or split in it over the summer to build up. Finally, hive entrances are provided in the front and back allowing a beekeeper to configure the box as two 3 frame queen mating nucs making this swarm box a 3-in-1 design increasing the all year value of this purchase. Hive stands and wax foundation are ordered separately. Please use the special instructions box below if you only want 2" starter strips verses full sheets of foundation.

Layens 5 Frame Migratory Nuc Box (Frames not included)

Price: $55.00

Our Migratory Nuc box is made from 11/32" plywood and the Migratory lid is made from 5/8" plywood. All parts are painted white with exterior paint. The box doesn't come with frames or a follower board. These can be ordered separately. The boxes are light and great for spring splits or even as a swarm trap.

Layens Wired Frames

Price: $7.50

Cost is per wired frame (14 5/16" X 15 15/16"). If you desire foundation to be added this can be purchased separately. Add a comment in special instructions if you want them to be attached at pickup time.

Layens Frame Parts

Price: $4.50

Cost of unassembled wooden frame parts to make one frame without wire or foundation.

Layens Natural Wax Foundation (12"X14")

Price: $4.00

Sheets size is ideal for Layens frames. Cost is per sheet. Add special instructions below if you want 2" starter strips verses full sheets which will modify the count you need. 7 starter strips can be cut from 1 sheet.

Layens Hive Stand

Price: $40.00

Stands comes pre-painted in green and are 19" tall. No alternate colors are offered. They are perfect for a single 20 Frame Layens Hive OR 2 Swarm Boxes.

Layens Frame Storage Tote

Price: $40.00

Store your extra frames in this durable storage solution. Heavy-duty latches help to secure the lid to the base and provide a sure grip surface. Deep indexed lid surface allows multiple totes to stack securely. Tote will hold 16 Layens frames.

Honey Bucket

Price: $40.00

This 5 gallon bucket is perfect for extraction day and for long term storage of extra honey. Convenient Honey Flow Control: The honey gate valve provides precise control over the flow of honey, allowing you to dispense honey smoothly and efficiently. Gamma lid turns your bucket into an airtight honey storage container.

Nucs

Nucs are normally only sold in the Spring. Check with us for availability later in the summer and make sure you pre-order in the fall to be first on the list. Nuc sales are always based on availability.

Honey

Our local honey is extracted twice a year. Spring honey is available in June and Fall honey in September. Stock is limited so order your honey as soon as it comes available.
